As you know, when you take out a Provident loan your Agent will discuss with you the amount that you are required to payback each week. However, we all know that circumstances can quickly change, so if you find yourself in a situation where you think that you may not be able to make your next repayment or you are struggling with the amount that you need to repay, then please don’t panic.
Understandably, you are likely to be feeling worried but remember, you don’t need to worry alone. Your Agent is there to help you through times like these. They understand your situation and are there to work with you to get your repayments back on track.
On the other hand, if you don’t feel comfortable discussing your money issues with your Agent or you can’t get in touch with them, then you can visit My Provident and get in touch with us by filling in our online form or by calling the number on the website.

You should get in touch with us as soon as you feel that you may not be able to make your repayments due to a change in circumstance. This way we can start helping you as soon as possible.
Also, this doesn’t mean that you will never be able to take out another loan with Provident. We know that sometimes circumstances change for reasons outside of your control and it’s hard to think that you will ever get back on track. However, as quickly as things can change for the worse, things can turn around for the better and you could soon be back up to date with your repayments. Your Agent will be able to advise you on when you may be eligible for another loan and if so, how much you may be able to borrow.
Your Agent performs an affordability check before they issue you a loan to ensure that you will be able to comfortably make the repayments. During the affordability check, your Agent may be able to identify other areas where you could save yourself some extra money. Whether it’s in your home or whilst out shopping, we have some fantastic tips on how you could save money (and make money!) on our money advice, hints and tips page.
Remember, Provident have been helping people for the past 130 years, you’re not alone and we’ve always been there to help those struggling with their repayments.
