We had to find out more about Lesley. What we found was a member of a gymnastic team who had been an Agent for forty years! Read the below for more.

Provident Agent Lesley

 1. What made you become an Agent?

It was many moons ago! I’ve been working as an Agent for forty years. A friend of mine was doing it and wanted to leave. In those days they needed to find a replacement so asked me if I’d like to apply. I was just going to do it while the kids were young and go back to office work but I ended up sticking with it!

2. Tell us about your average day

I organise my collection times on Monday and Friday, then have another day for admin.

3. How many customers do you have on your agency?

I have quite a small book at the minute, I have 68 customers.

4. What is your favourite part of being a Provident Agent?

I enjoy meeting customers. I feel like I’m really helping them and I like the relationship I have with them.

5. What is the average customer like?

Some customers have been with me on and off my whole career- so forty years. It’s a slightly older book than normal but I don’t mind, we’ve grown old together!

6. What do you love about dealing with customers?

I like being an Agent and I like the customers, you never know what you’re going to get. I had intended to work in an office once my kids were older but I like that every day is different when you’re an Agent. I couldn’t work in an office now there’s not enough going on.

7. Tell us something about yourself that no one knows…

No one will believe it but nearly fifty years ago I was part of a gymnastics display team. I was in local club and as we’re a holiday town we’d put on displays and collect money for charity.
