We understand everyone’s situation is different, which is why we look at every loan application on a case-by-case basis.

At Provident, we lend a helping hand where others won’t. While some lenders are unable to consider your application because of a County Court Judgement (CCJ), bad credit history or unemployment, we will. However, it’s impossible for us to tell you how likely it is you’ll be approved for a doorstep loan with us without looking at your circumstances and credit report.

When it comes to being turned down for a loan, it can often be down to two separate pieces of information, which on their own wouldn’t be a problem, combining together which results in an application decline. The success of an application entirely comes down to the individual person and their circumstances. At Provident, we make the effort to get to know our customers, as we like to know their circumstances and not just their credit rating. We know that everyone is different and that life can happen, having an impact on people’s finances.

There are some reasons that will mean we’re more likely to refuse someone a loan – click here to read more. The only way to really know if you’ll be approved for a Provident loan is to apply.

Note: this will show on your credit file that you have applied for the loan.

Remember, at Provident, we always look at a person’s circumstances, not just their credit rating.
