If you apply for a Provident loan, subject to eligibility you'll be able to choose between:
Just to put your mind at rest, our Provident Direct Promise means:
When the first repayment is due, your rep will visit you at home to collect your first repayment by cash. During that visit, they'll set up a CPA for the collection of your future repayments.
A CPA (Continuous Payment Authority) gives us permission to collect loan repayments directly from your debit card. We'll only request payments as agreed with you. They’re simple to set up and all you need are your debit card details.
Once your CPA is in place, your repayments will go out automatically on your agreed date. So, you don't have to remember to make your repayment, but you will have to make sure you've got the funds available in your account the day your repayment is due. Your rep will still pop round every so often to check everything is ok.
Unfortunately, any existing loans you have will continue to be collected in cash each week from your home by your rep. CPA is only available for new loans.
Please note that we'll only try to take a repayment once each week. If we're not successful, we'll let you know and arrange a time to visit you at home to discuss your missed payment.
If your CPA fails two weeks in a row, your CPA will be cancelled and we'll switch back to home collection to make sure you get the support you need with your account.
All our home visits are voice recorded for training and quality purposes, to make sure you get the best service every time we visit. Read more about Voice Recording here.
